Caveau du Sommelier Olten

BAUM

"His songs are on a global standard. It’s about time that they got discovered in Switzerland", says music critic Bänz Friedli. Neil Young chose one of his songs for the peace campaign "Living with war today".
In 2013, BAUM recorded his new album at Alicia Keys’ New York Jungle City Studios with the drummer Marc Hemantha Hufschmid, and worked with Tim Leitner (Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Cyndi Lauper) at Bar1 Studios New York for the mix. Last December, Tim Leitner had mastering specialist Paul Logus (P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Britney Spears) join in on the process. After eleven months of hard and intensive work, the new album "/2013" was completed. The series "Take a seat: Egypt" on Universal Sports Network USA followed this vision and integrated seven of BAUM’s songs into their shows last autumn.

BAUM started his official career as a solo support act with great musicians such as Van Morrison, The John Butler Trio and Gawn DeGraw. After being nominated "Artist of the Month" by Peter Gabriel’s portal We7, BAUM pursued his own musical growth on five solo tours in Ireland, two German tours and appearances at Swiss festivals such as Openair St. Gallen, Blue Balls Lucerne and the Songbird Festival in Davos.
