Sunday 20.08.2017 - 15:00
Bauernhof Wyss, Boningen
Nashville visits Boningen: J.P. Harris brings pure Country music to the farm. The beeeaaarded American, feeling most comfortable with tradition, doesn't want to be associated with newer tendencies such as Alt-Country, Americana, Folk or Roots. With his latest album "Home Is Where the Hurt Is", amongst others, and his 5-piece band including a banjo and a fiddle J.P. Harris is going to warm thte heart of every true country fan.
The Alabama born musician moved to Nevada with his family - and then out of the home, on foot. He was just 14 when he went off hitch hiking and tavelling on mile long freight trains. Years later, after occasional jobs and two years playing small venues J.P. released his first album titled "I'll Keep Calling". The Nashville Scene went sraight ahead and nominated it best Country album of the year. As if this wasn't suprise enough two of the songs found their way on to the soundtrack of the movie "At Any Price" starring Dennis Quaid snd Zac Efron.
